Alan Lebow is a working film maker, trained in the fine arts and skilled in all disciplines of the craft. He has contributed to, or created productions that have been honored with Emmy awards, Cine Golden Eagle and American Film Festival awards, Telly Awards and others. As Director of Photography and lighting cameraman, his credits include shooting film, video and digital video for network television and major corporations, in the United States, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe, with a strong emphasis in documentaries and TV magazine style programming. Some assignments include; D.P. lighting for the Directors Guild of America, a film tribute to Sidney Pollack, featuring Meryl Streep, Harrison Ford, Mike Nickles and others. Many recent clients also include; Kohl’s promotions, Harpo Productions, PBS, IBM, XEROX, Barns & Nobel, CBS amazing race, Prime Media, Radio Shack promotions, Panasonic Corp. Alan is credited as a producer, director, writer and editor, and his list of original programming and commercials for television, as well as his documentary productions, are impressive. This list includes; writing and producing over 350 commercials and several very successful (generating over 6 million dollars in 3 weeks airtime for each piece) 30 minute infomercials for Cable Vision and Time Warner. Original Programming for the Arts and Entertainment Network, with “American Made”, a behind the scenes look at the creative process featuring the paintings and artworks of Toni Bennett, Anthony Quinn, Joni Mitchell, the glass art of Dale Chihuly and many others. Alan was awarded recently winning First Place / 20th Anniversary Classic Telly Award (best in 20 years) for The Norelco Corp., as Director / Director of Photography, and Telly Award for Union Carbide International.
These additional skills allow Alan to shoot for editing, from a producer / director point of view. Alan is available as a Director of Photography, Lighting Cameraman, Camera Operator, Program or Field Producer, Writer and / or Editor (union and non union).. Skills in this many categories is unusual in this business, especially to this level of expertise, but his argument for this is simple. Working as an independent professional film maker for over 25 years has broadened Alan’s understanding and grasp of the production process. Nurturing and developing these talents have made him an important part of many productions.

ALP produces entire pieces from concept, writing, and acquisition to editing and finishing, including original music production, as well as “for hire” daily rate cameramen, crew and equipment, in town and world wide.
